Drag your finger across touching letters — in any direction, including diagonally — to spell a word, then lift to submit. Words must be at least 3 letters, and you can't reuse a tile within the same word. Longer words score more.
By word length: 3–4 letters = 1 point, 5 = 2, 6 = 3, 7 = 5, 8 or more = 11.
It counts as the two letters Q and U together — so "QUIT" uses the Qu tile plus I and T.
Tap the lightbulb to reveal a word's first letter and highlight where it starts on the board. You get 5 hints to start each day, and earn an extra hint each time you finish a round.
Untimed lets you find as many words as you like. Timed is a 3-minute round. Switch modes in Settings.
Open Settings → Statistics → Reset statistics. This clears your level, XP, achievements, and all-time stats. Your preferences are kept.
Yes. The entire game — including word definitions — works completely offline. Wordionary never needs an internet connection.
